The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

How the action will look in the new Hydro arena
Now that the ticket applications are closed we are entering the Home Straight for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Taking place between 23 July - 3 August 2014, the Games will be taking place right across Glasgow as well as further afield.

Starting with a booming Opening Ceremony at Celtic Park, the Games will see some of the world's best athletes swimming, running, jumping and punching their way across the city to get their hands on a coveted gold medal.

While those who have applied for tickets await to see if they have been successful, Glasgow continues to get booked up.

The Opening Ceremony will go off with a bang!
But the last thing we want is for you to get your tickets, yet be unable to find a good, conveniently placed hotel that won't cost you and arm and a leg.

Make sure you have a good look at our West End hotels and, as soon as you've been notified that you have been successful in your ticket application, we strongly suggest booking your beds as soon as possible as it's already looking like it's going to be a scramble.

So, don't miss out because we'd love to welcome you to Glasgow and share with you our Commonwealth Games!
